‘Music is the voice of the soul’
Rhianydd Beaumont has been a singing teacher for over 20 years and because of her industry experience has an understanding of not only voice development but audition prep for college and university study. Students of Rhianydd’s go on to the major musical theatre and opera schools, some performing in the West End, National Tours and with Opera Companies. ‘Whether you want to take exams, enter music festivals or perform locally or just sing for fun, the choice is yours. Lessons will be fun, interactive and at a pace that suits you. I believe in careful voice training where children’s voices are carefully considered, making sure they are singing safely. I cover Classical, Musical Theatre, Pop and Opera Genres. Singing is fun and involves the whole body, which is good for self esteem, mental wellbeing and general happiness.’

Music Festivals
Rhianydd Beaumont is heavily involved with music festivals in the local area and further afield. Many of her students have performed in the Mrs Sunderland Performing Arts Festival, Haydn Wood Music Festival, Holmfirth Music Festival, Blackburn Festival of Speech, Music and Dance to name a few. Many of her students have been placed, gaining a wealth of performing experience.
Performing Opportunities
Many of Rhianydd’s students have performed in local productions either as soloists or in ensemble roles. The singers at the Beaumont Music Academy have performed as soloists for local choirs and charity events. We also stage a charity concert each year for designated charities allowing our students to showcase their talents.
A number of Rhianydd’s students have gone on to study at the leading musical theatre collages, opera schools and performing institutions. Some have gone on to perform in the West End, national tours, opera productions and some have made professional recordings.
Exams
At the Beaumont Music Academy, from the ages of 7+ we cover the ABRSM Singing Syllabus (general singing and musical theatre). These exams are optional, but students have the opportunity to take 2
pathways:
1. Practical Singing Exam (In person examination)
2. Performance Singing Exam (Done remotely)
The Beaumont Music Academy has a 100% pass rate for exams, most students gaining a Distinction.
Musical Theory
Rhianydd also teaches ABRSM musical theory to grade 5. This can be completed in person or online using the ABRSM Syllubus.
Workshops
Rhianydd also offers group workshops on technique, performance, harmony etc. and can also provide a masterclass for groups and individual singers on performance and audition prep.
