Mrs Sunderland Performing Arts Festival 2025
Children and adults from the Beaumont Music Academy performed at the Mrs Sunderland Performing Arts Festival 2024 in Huddersfield. They competed in the Classical, Musical Theatre, Disney, Pop, Light Opera, English Song, Folk Song and Recital classes and the Young Musician of the Year. One of our sudents won in 4 classes and was asked to perform in the last night concert.

West End Calling – 27th May 2024
‘Evie Rose Owen competed in the talent competition West End Calling, gaining a spot in their grand final on the 27th May in the West End. Evie won the Vocal Performance Award. We are so very proud of you Evie! Well done 🌟’
An Evening of Song for the Kirkwood in memory of our dear friend and colleague Gordon Balmforth.
We had an amazing evening of song on the 18th May at Linthwaite Methodist Church. The children and adults performed songs from different eras and styles from classical to musical theatre. We raised an amazing £860.50 for the Kirkwood. Judith from the Kirkwood presented Rhianydd with the cheque at the Dalton centre. Judith came and watched our show and thoroughly enjoyed it. We are so proud of each and every oneof you who took part and also thankful to those who made our concert possible!

Two of our children were asked to sing at the final night concert.

Haydn Wood Music Festival 2023
In November 2023 some of The Beaumont Music Academy children and adults performed at the Haydn Wood Music Festival in Linthwaite, Huddersfield. They competed in Classical, Musical Theatre, Open Vocal and the Recital Class. Four of our students also performed in the last night concert.
Holmfirth Music Festival 2023
Our children and adults performed in the Holmfirth Music Festival in October 2023. The children sung in the Classical, Musical Theatre, Disney, Pop and Recital classes. This was the first of the competitions this term and the children and adult enjoyed singing the songs they had been practising.
Charity Events 2023
Every year we hold a Charity Concert for charities close to our heart. This year we raised money for 5 charities: Cancer Research, Alzheimer’s UK, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Ukraine Appeal and Leeds Charity Hospitals. We raised a mega £750. What an amazing evening it was.
Kirkwood Hospice – Dalton 2023
We also performed at the Kirkwood Hospice in Dalton for their garden party. Children entertained the people visiting the centre and the stalls. Some patients were even wheeled outside to listen to the children sing. This was a very moving moment for us all!
Honley Ladies Choir Concert 2023
We were also asked to perform for Henley Ladies Choir in summer. 10 of our children went along and performed for the choir and I was so proud of the way they worked as a team to cheer each other on. The children are a team and it was wonderful to hear you all.
Exams
Some of our children have taken their ABRSM exams in2023 and 2024. I am so proud of the way they worked and the performances that they gave.
“My daughter has been coming to Rhianydd for nearly 10 years now. Rhianydd has seen her through huge changes in her voice and managed them with expertise and patience. As a result, my daughter now has a 2 1/2 octave range and is confident singing in lots of different genres. I can’t thank Rhianydd enough for her care, persistence and support over the years.”
“I started going to Beaumont Music Academy a few years ago as an adult singer. Rhianydd always makes lessons fun and enjoyable. She is such a lovely person and so talented. I’ve now gone from what I thought was an Alto, to a Soprano, even singing in Latin & Italian. I’m not going to give up as I enjoy it so much.”
“My daughter has been having singing lessons with Rhianydd for 7yrs. Evie really enjoys her singing lessons with Rhianydd. Her expert tuition and guidance has seen Evie develop into a mature and confident young singer. Her lessons are full of enthusiasm and encouragement and Evie really looks forward to them every week.”
